Who We Are

The Obsidian Effect

Obsidian Effect is a creative studio and conceptual platform rooted in design, storytelling, and conscious creation. We explore the space where shadow meets light, technology meets nature, and imagination meets responsibility. This website exists to share ideas, artwork, and conversations that challenge, inspire, and evolve.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the Obsidian Effect website, we collect the information shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. This helps us maintain a safe space and detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address, also known as a hash, may be shared with the Gravatar service to check if you use it. You can review Gravatar’s privacy policy here:

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may choose to save your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience. This allows you to comment again without re-entering your details. These cookies remain for one year.

When you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is removed when you close your browser.

If you log in, cookies are used to store your login details and display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and display preference cookies last for one year. Selecting “Remember Me” will keep you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.

If you edit or publish content, an additional cookie is stored that contains no personal data and simply identifies the post you edited. This cookie expires after one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Content on this site may include embedded media such as videos, images, or articles. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the external website directly.

These third-party sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed tracking tools, and monitor your interaction with their content, especially if you are logged into their platform.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email for security purposes.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Comments and their associated metadata are stored indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them for moderation.

For users who register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time, except for their username. Website administrators may also access and edit this information as needed.

Your Rights Over Your Data

If you have an account or have left comments on this site, you may request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You may also request that we erase your personal data. This does not include information we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security reasons.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be processed through automated spam detection services to help protect the integrity of the Obsidian Effect community.
